Relation, nexus and mixture between life and culture of Western Europe, and the Southern Cone of Latin America are not novelties. Novelty is the analysis of some lines of union, variation and contribution.

Federico Brandt´s work allows us to review one of them. The “Cuenca del Plata” (Rio de la Plata Basin), (current territory of Argentina, Uruguay and south of Brazil), did not have, during the pre-Columbian era, nothing like the significant native cultures of Peru, Bolivia and Mexico, with their important agricultural techniques, alphabets, calendars, and their monumental architecture.
